Synopsis:
IBiS was established as a multidisciplinary biomedical research centre within the complex that houses the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, a centre of high-level care, education and research. Its principal objective is to undertake competitive research at an international level on the causes of the most prevalent pathologies in the population, and to develop new methods for their diagnosis and treatment. IBiS is based on fundamental research at the molecular and cellular level with a view to promote the rapid transfer of knowledge to the clinical setting, at the same time improving the quality of clinical and epidemiological research
